Attention! This is not a drill; Park Bo Gum has been discharged from the military.
It has been nearly 2 years since Park Bo Gum enlisted in the South Korean military as a part of the navy's band. Now, the actor has been discharged from his duties and is gearing up to return to his regular lifestyle; with a bunch of new life skills under his belt, no doubt.
Park Bo Gum is Back
Park Bo Gum has officially taken his final military vacation on February 21, 2022, which also marks the conclusion of his active-duty service in the navy.
Many of you may know that his original discharge date is supposed to be April 30, 2022; however, due to COVID-19 regulations, the Record of Youth actor is no longer required to return to the navy unit in Gyeryongdae.
While troops are traditionally obligated to be present at their bases on the final day of their duty, the military seems to have eased these rules to help flatten the curve of the virus.
From our viewpoint, Park appears to have had a wonderful experience in the army, as he was deemed as an exemplary enlistee. Plus, he even conducted an educational session for the latest batch of navy enlistees.
Park Bo Gum in Wonderland
The spotlight has been missing Park Bo Gum for nearly 2 years now, so fans can look forward to the actor's comeback on the silver screen very soon.
Perhaps sooner than you even think...
One of his first post-military projects is called Wonderland, a sci-fi fantasy film by Kim Tae Yong and starring Choi Woo Shik, Bae Suzy, Tang Wei, Jung Yumi, and of course; Park Bo Gum.
It's so wonderful to have you back, Park Bo Gum!
