This week does not only mark the official coming of autumn, because it also marks the start of BTS Week on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Whenever BTS announces new content, ARMY is there as the band's largest group of cheerleaders, and that is exactly what happened again today. Kicking off BTS Week, the Korean superstars collaborated with American band, The Roots, and Jimmy Fallon himself to give us a totally remixed and revamped version of "Dynamite". Radiating everything retro and colorful, the Bangtan Boys, the hip-hop band, and the prolific TV host rendered a fresh and quirky take on the song.

Going from fluffy to fierce real quick, BTS shifted into a spectacular performance of "Idol", and when I say spectacular, I mean SPEC-TA-CULAR!

Don't you dare click away, because this is the rundown of the 4 highlights that swept us off our feet. This is BTS Week: Day 1.

1. BTS ft. The Roots ft. Jimmy Fallon

"Dynamite" has three remixes; EDM, tropical, and acoustic. However, we have now been gifted with a third version, which is partly a capella! With the talent of both Jimmy Fallon and The Roots thrown into the mix, this is by far one of the best versions ever.

The performance commenced with everyone being shown in video call style, each against a bright pop of hues. Appealing to the old school energy that the song embodies, we were blasted into a retro machine of sound and color. The vibrance of the performance was propelled to new heights with the late night show host injecting his signature humor into it by playing with and actual ping-pong and dancing along to the iconic choreography. (Side note: We hope his knee is okay!)

2. Gyeongbokgung Palace in Seoul

Rumor has it that BTS filmed something at the Gyeongbokgung Palace in Seoul, and for once, rumor was right! While viewers were still busy smiling from the warm and fuzzy feeling that was evoked by their cute "Dynamite" stage, BTS just snuck up on us and hit us with the best "Idol" performance in the history of Bangtan. The truth is nobody saw it coming. It was an ambush.

Clad in all black, Jin, V, Jungkook, Jimin, RM, Suga, and J-Hope channeled that warrior couture like no other. The quick switch from sweet to cool was just BTS showing audiences that they have mastered the art of duality. What can I say? The first line of "Idol" doesn't lie: "They call me artist/They call me idol".

I know, we're all still reeling and recovering, so we need a moment. Are you alright, ARMY?

3. Jungkook's Manbun

Jungkook's permed manbun has been making guest appearances from his V-Live and AGT performance all the way to their Tiktok video of "Savage Love". Fans have shown their appreciation for the new hairdo, but when ARMY saw how well it complemented his royal warrior-esque outfit. It is now clear; this is what the manbun was for.

4. The 8th Member of BTS

Breaking news: BTS has an 8th member, and his name is Jimmy Fallon! Singing, dancing, laughing, and vibing along with the septet, Jimmy Fallon might as well be the newest addition to the set of superstars. Here's a vote for Jimmy Fallon to be part of the dance and visual line of BTS!

With Day 1 of #BTSWeek being this explosive, we better brace ourselves for Day 2.
