TAKE US TO THE CITY! BRING THE OLIVE TREE!

In this 21st century machine, we are always looking for something that is iconic and dynamic, and "Extra Virgin" is it. As the carrier single of Yoon San-Ha's brand new mini album "CHAMELEON", the track is a playful nod to (you guessed it) extra virgin olive oil. Any olive oil connoisseur or salad lover would know that this is the most premium olive oil on the planet, thus, evidently representing the singer's unfiltered allure and fresh confidence.
The ASTRO maknae dropped "Chameleon", along with the showstopping music video for its title track, "Extra Virgin", on July 15. Driven by country pop chord progressions and a hypnotic hip hop rhythm, this song is bound to take up permanent residence in your brain (and your playlist). From the first note to the beat drop, "Extra Virgin" is a masterpiece that both seasoned fans and baby AROHAs will fall in love with.
On top of its optimistic energy, "Extra Virgin" sets the stage for San-Ha's crisp, youthful vocals. Hands down, this singer has a voice so clear, it feels like daylight. That must be the reason why this song feels like a summer that never ends.
Released only six days ago, "Extra Virgin" has already raked in over 2.2 million views on YouTube, and counting. The Fantagio-managed artist has also been busy promoting his comeback on music shows, such as MBC's 'Show! Music Core' broadcasted on the 19th of July.
Given its artistic mastery, unique quirks, and the instant love it received, can we predict some major awards in the future of "Extra Virgin"?
Music Video Mayhem: Hitchhiking to the City
Behind every great track is a music video that we play on loop...more times than we like to admit, and it's not just because of the Pinterest-board-worthy outfits that Yoon San-Ha rocks like a fashion king, we promise.
Here, Yoon San-Ha stars in the "Extra Virgin" music video that kicks off in retro-themed gas station that features a lot of olives—in a cereal bowl, on a slice of bread, in a blender, in a gas container...you name it. The highlight of the olive shenanigans has to be San-Ha seemingly using a gas pump nozzle to water and olive tree. However, don't worry about the olive tree's life, because if you look closely, you'll see that this isn't an actual gasoline station. No, this is an olive oil station. Yes, as we have deduced by now, nothing in this music video is normal, and that is exactly why we love it!
Soon after, the ASTRO member dives into more chaos by holding up a cardboard sign that reads "take me to the city" as he attempts to hitchhike, a playfully captivating storyline that keeps us hooked from start to finish. Will he ever make it to the city? Or will he be doomed to hitchhike and water olive trees forever?

Spoiler alert: about 10 failed hitchhike attempts, a free car wash, and a series of dance routines later, Yoon San-Ha finally gets a ride to the city. The catch? The driver of the car appears to be a green mascot who may or may not be a distant cousin of Elmo from Sesame Street or Mr. Potato Head from Toy Story. (Side Note: AROHAs, of you know who this is, let us know!)
The drive to the city is, as expected, chaotic. The "Extra Virgin" singer chaotically vibes with his newfound road hero, and it's everything you'd want out of a road trip to the city. Bonus points if you spotted the little olive tree in the backseat, possibly also internally dancing to the music.
Once he reaches the big city, San-Ha takes the night skyline by storm in a shimmering ensemble that would make the stars do a double take. The focal point of this milestone in the MV is his new cardboard sign that now reads: "I am in the city now!"
San-Ha and the city? We love a good success story.
Chameleon King: Iconic, Dynamic
Chameleons may be masters of blending in with their environments, but San-Ha has a true talent for standing out, making the environment blend in with him. This is the primary reason why his new mini album "CHAMELEON" can be deemed a phenomenal potpourri of sound; versatile, diverse, and ideal for any time of day. Oh, and it spiritually smells like olive oil, but that's a given.
Apart from "Extra Virgin", "CHAMELEON" also houses "AURA", which Yoon San-Ha wrote and composed himself; "Bad Mosquito", a melody dressed in dreamy and imaginative elements, which made us wonder if there are, in fact, any good mosquitoes; "6PM (Nobody's Home)", which is the picture of a retro summer night that we can't let go of; and "Love You Like Fools", a soul-stirring song dedicated to the fans who have stood by him over the past decade.
"CHAMELEON" is now available on all major streaming platforms. Listen now while you water your olive trees with "Extra Virgin" olive oil. Congratulations to our favorite hitchhiker!
