Among K-Dramas with idols as the main characters, this is Strong Woman Do Bong Soon is of the most famous ones. Park Hyung Sik—who also starred in The Heirs, Hwarang, and Lawyers-—originally debuted as a member of the K-pop group, ZE:A. In this K-Drama, he portrays the role of Ahn Min Hyuk, a CEO of a large gaming company. He hires Do Bong Soon (Park Bo Young), a girl with superhuman strength, as his bodyguard. Together, they unravel a series of mysterious murders in Bong Soon's neighborhood and try to find out who is threatening Min Hyuk.

Who Are You: School 2015 is one of the most notable milestones in the acting career of BtoB's Yook Sung Jae (aside from Goblin, of course!). Here, Sung Jae plays Gong Tae Kwang, the principal's son who is known to the whole school for his “great” behavior.

He attempts to gain the attention of his classmate, Eun Byul (Kim So Hyun), who has started to act differently after a tragedy during a school trip. People around him write it off as memory loss from the trauma and don't realize that Eun Byul's place has been taken by a completely different girl.

Intriguing? We know, right!

Are You Human Too? (2018)

Who likes cool robot-themed K-Dramas that make you wait on the edge of your seat for each new episode?

You?

Well, then you will love Are You Human Too?. The more so because of the 2 main roles are played by Seo Kang Joon from 5urprise. The idol takes on the dual role of human and robot like a pro!

She Was Pretty (2015)

This is a cute, funny K-Drama about the life of an ordinary-looking girl, who is not interested (yet) in makeup and fashion. Everything changes—or rather love changes people—and soon she transforms into a beautiful girl.

On top of that, the friend who helped her in every possible way at her new job becomes a hero, played by Choi Si Won from Super Junior. Here, as always, he is funny, witty, and perfect for the role of a silly and endearing journalist.

She Was Pretty is on our list of favorites, which can be regularly rewatched when you need a nice pick-me-up!

Gu Family Book (2013)

Suzy from Miss A has been consistently pleasing us with her appearances in K-Dramas. Before her popular roles in

Start-Up and While You Were Sleeping, she kicked off her acting career in this historical K-Drama that will surprise you with its heartwarming story of a demi-god.

Coming back from the historical era to our time, we’re finishing our list with an adorably funny entry with hints of fantasy that obviously add some spice to the plot:

Extraordinary You (2019)

The plot of Extraordinary You follows the life of a high school girl named Eun Dan Oh (Kim Hye Yoon) who is diagnosed with a fatal disease. By chance, she learns that she is a minor character in a manhwa called Secret and her illness is the author's doing in order to get ride of the character. Clearly, Dan Oh is not happy with this. She meets other secondary characters, and they decide to change the plot of the comic. One of these characters is a nameless guy, whom the girl calls Ha Ru. His role is played by Rowoon from SF9.

Now, what are you waiting for? Pick up that remote and binging!
